The Healthcare Mobile Innovation Alliance (HMIA), chaired by AGNITY Healthcare, charter is to help doctors, nurses and hospitals positively transform the relationship with their patients by inspiring application innovation and extending personalized care to improve both efficiency and quality of service delivery.
Organizations represent the diverse interests of the healthcare industry, telecommunications industry as well as technology leaders representing mobile service providers, device manufacturers, Internet service providers, application developers, telecom equipment manufacturers, healthcare providers, insurance providers and leading healthcare IT integrators. It’s mission is to help the health care industry better respond to patient demand for expanded access, lower costs and better outcomes. HMIA will meet regularly with members and interested parties to discuss publish and advance best practices in technology and healthcare. The working group shall seek to help health professionals meet the growing demand for more personalized health services aimed at reinventing the doctor-patient relationship.
