Ken Epps, President

Ken is responsible for AGNITY Healthcare Business. Ken is an accomplished GM/CEO that has taken two venture backed software and services companies – BayPackets and Emerald Solutions - from concept to revenue generation.

Ken has launched numerous consumer and enterprise communications and Internet based products during his tenure in leadership roles at AT&T, Williams, Emerald Solutions, and BayPackets. His experiences include CEO of BayPackets and U4EA Technologies, Chief Marketing Officer of Williams Communications, at the Williams Company (NYSE;WMB) and General Manager at AT&T.

Ken has extensive experience in financing companies privately and publicly. He serves on several advisory boards and is active in professional and community organizations. His academic accomplishments include a MBA from Stanford, a M.S. from University of Tennessee, and a B.S. from S.C. State University.

Shashi Tripathi, Vice President Product Management

Shashi serves as Vice President Product Management responsible for product strategy & execution, product marketing, pre-sales, and product development of healthcare products. Prior to joining AGNITY Healthcare, Shashi worked at icuro, inc as Executive Vice President responsible for global P&L, product management, client relationship and sales & marketing for the healthcare products and services. Prior to icuro, Shashi founded iMenuTech and served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He has worked in various management capacities with companies such as St Jude Medical, Medtronic, IDEXX Laboratories, Pfizer, Answerthink Consulting and i2 Technologies.

Shashi has consulted with healthcare providers such as Kaiser Permanente, Geisinger Health System, Sentara Healthcare and Alaska Heart Institute. He has extensive experience in implementing new ideas, strategy, product marketing, product development, customer support, systems & software solutions. He is a graduate in Mechanical engineering and holds a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from IIT Bombay, India. He is an active member of HIMSS.

Nasir Khan, Vice President Engineering

Nasir Khan brings wide-ranging industry experience spanning more than 14 years in telecommunications, networking and engineering to his role, leading product development, professional services and R&D efforts at AGNITY Healthcare. Before joining AGNITY Healthcare, Nasir led the development of BEA Weblogic SIP Server as the Architect at BEA Systems. He also led the standardization effort for SIP Servlet 1.1 technology as Specification Lead for JSR 289 while in BEA. Currently he serves as Expert group member of JSR 289. In his role as Specification lead he won several awards, notable amongst them are the “Most outstanding Spec Lead award for 2007” and “Star Spec Lead award for 2007”. Prior to BEA, Nasir performed Engineering management for SIP Servlets based application server, NSP (an IP SCP) and several next generation applications. Nasir also worked at Indian Oil Corporation developing scientific and financial applications. Nasir holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Roorkee and Masters degree in Management and Systems from IIT-Delhi.

Atul Varshneya, Vice President Technology

Atul is Vice President of Engineering at AGNITY Healthcare. He leads the product engineering initiatives in the company and runs the Enterprise Vertical Solutions business unit for AGNITY corporate. Prior to this, Atul was the Chief Architect, Multimedia Applications, at GENBAND, Inc., and Assoc. Vice President/Chief Architect BayPackets. In these roles he envisioned and architected NGN Service Delivery Platforms and applications for the Tier-1 and Tier-2 carriers as well as enterprises based on industry. Prior to this, as a Principal Architect at Motorola he had developed Reference Architecture for Motorola’s PCS products.

Atul is a member of expert groups in standards bodies and industry forums, and a frequent speaker at various trade shows. He has a Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

Venkat Yellapragada, Vice President Services

Venkat is responsible for services business unit's sales and growth. He has over twenty years experience in the Communications and Information Technology industry. He has worked with leading organizations such as Satyam, Tech Mahindra, Siemens and Wipro British Telecom in direct sales and leadership roles in the areas of Telecom BSS/OSS, Product Engineering Services, Systems Integration and Application Outsourcing to Telecom Service Providers, Network Equipment Manufacturers, and Enterprises.

Venkat has Masters Degrees from IT-BHU, India and University of New South Wales, Australia.
